Olly is amazing!
My partner told me he was a friend that was going to join us to ski when really my partner proposed to me on the top of the Aiguille du Midi. Turns out Olly was really our photographer but he played the part perfectly. I was stunned and Olly got the most amazing photos of the whole experience; proposal, skiing, wandering through the ice cave, and the hike out.
He even shared a few photos with us in the same day just so we could make an announcement to our family and friends. I’d highly recommend hiring Olly to capture your special day!
Booked Olly for a ski instructor website photoshoot. Olly is a very talented photographer and he has the eye for a great shot. Lots of ideas of angles and stuff too.
We loved the photos so much, we booked him again for a kids shoot and once again great results!
Finding an official wedding photographer can be a stressful affair. My wife and I feel blessed that we fell upon Olly to take the photography reins at our special day at Montenvers in Aug. From start to finish, his friendly approach and immaculate attention to detail was so impressive …
So many little things that Olly did just really impressed us, … Olly knows Chamonix and the surrounding areas so well – he gets the very best from the environment. It felt like Olly was more than just the official wedding [photographer] … he was truly part of the party and we and our guests all felt that way 🙂
A true gent, and a real pro and master of his craft 🙂
Olly does amazing work, very creative and embellishing the moments. So far he has done three projects for me in the mountains; shooting a trail race, the photos for my first book, and trail runners at my Chamonix Mountain Running Festival. Always captivating the intensity of the runner and the magic of the environment, and always with creative framing.
He is also great to work with, generous with his time and fun to have around. I highly recommend Olly for your next adventure or projects!
Absolutely amazing photos, you captured our day perfectly. I actually couldn’t ask for anything better.
Looking through them was like reliving the day again wow can’t thank you enough. Would highly recommend. Lovely person as well, everyone felt like they had know. You forever. Even people who didn’t like having their photos taken were relaxed with you. Thank you.
If anyone is looking for a photographer, this is your man!
I’m super impressed with Olly’s photography. I was looking for a photographer in Chamonix that could shoot my engagement photos on the Vallee Blanche and Aiguille du Midi.
Olly took great care in making sure the day went smoothly. His photography speaks for itself, clearly. He wanted to meet up with me to make sure everything went according to plan.
His ski and mountaineering skills are more than adequate for ski photography off piste. He is also a very fun person to be around with a great sense of humor. He’s also very easy to work with.
Olly Bowman is an exceptional Chamonix photographer!
I booked Olly for some pictures in Chamonix and spent a morning skiing in Flegere. Simply outstanding pictures capturing the real essence of skiing there and making me look better at skiing than I am.
The pictures he took are stunning and he provided suggestions for some brilliant places to capture the images. He knows the area really well, very easy to work with, top of the range equipment…
I would recommend him. In terms of his time, expertise, quality of images and just being a very decent chap, more than worth the money. Thank you Olly.
Olly photographed our wedding and did a fantastic job! He was fun and relaxed, put everyone at ease, but was also really good at organising everyone into group shots. He had loads of great ideas for photos but didn’t push us into anything that felt too formal or “not us”.
So many of our guests commented on what a nice person he is and that the photos were not “the boring part” of the wedding (like they often are!). We got the finished photos back really quickly and we love them, so many great ones, lots of impromptu candid shots as well as the posed ones, he captured so many moments for us that might have otherwise passed us by – thanks Olly!
We have used Olly to take photos for many of our rental properties and we, as well as property owners, have always been very impressed with the finished photos.
It is always a pleasure to work with Olly on the shoots, he is professional, experienced and always ready to go the extra mile to get great shots.

First Powder of the Season
It snowed a lot this weekend, and when I say a lot, I mean a lot. The vis looked pretty poor so as it was cold we decided to stay fairly low and head to St Gervais for the day. It was their opening weekend, so there wasn’t a huge amount of lifts open, but the snow was incredible and it was fairly quiet so we managed to get quite a few decent runs in.
